policies

Proof of vaccination required.
We are an 18+ establishment.
Covid Policies
Are masks mandatory? ▹
Do I need to be double vaccinated to attend a class/workshop? ▹
How do you prove that all students are double vaccinated? ▹
Adult Student (18+) Policy ▹
What if I don’t want to get vaccinated? Does that mean I can never attend your classes/workshops? ▹
What if I am coughing or have flu-like symptoms? Should I come to class?
If not, will I receive a refund for that class? ▹
Registration Policy ▹
You can register for all Canvas Method offerings HERE. Seats are on a first come, first serve basis. If the class/workshop has already filled up, you are encouraged to register for another one, and/or to join the waitlist.
Waitlist ▹
If a class/workshop that you are interested in is full, please join our waitlist. You will be contacted if a seat becomes available.
Payment of Fees ▹
Online: You can pay online with a credit card or a debit card (that has an expiry date and CVC).
You can then pre-book classes in our easy-to-use booking system.

Cheque: You can pay with cheque, by mailing it to: Canvas Method, 1710 Victoria drive, Vancouver, BC, V5N 4J8. Please mail the cheque with a note including your full name and email address clearly printed.

Cash: If bringing cash, please bring the exact amount in an envelope to Canvas Method at 101-1610 Pandora Street, with your full name and email address clearly printed.  

CASH DROP-OFF: Please deliver the cash up to 15 minutes after the end of any class/workshop in our schedule. Please see SCHEDULE for class hours and CONTACT for a map of our location. 

Upon receipt of payment with cheque or cash, we will email you with your login information so you will be able to book your class/workshop.

Payment by Cheque ▹
Students will be charged $50 for cheques returned for non-sufficient funds.

Official Receipt ▹
Upon payment, you will receive an online receipt.

Cancellation Policy ▹
If you cancel more than 14 days before the start of a class/workshop, you will receive a full refund. If you cancel less than 14 days before the start time, you will forfeit your entire class/workshop fee. There are no refunds or credit for no-shows or withdrawal after a class/workshop begins. All class/workshop cancellations must be communicated by email.

cancellation due to temporary closures: Any class/workshop closures due to bad weather, ‘acts of God’, or any other means deemed ‘temporary’, your seat will be reserved for you to continue once the studio resumes operations. If you are unable to attend your newly purchased class/workshop, you will have credit to access alternative class/workshop options of your choice. Either way, we will assist you in transitioning back into your seat. Please note, there are no refunds for temporary closures.

cancellation due to permaNent closures: If a class/workshop is cancelled permanently by a Canvas Method instructor, you will receive a full refund.

transitioning back after covid-19: During the Covid pandemic, Canvas Method may experience temporary unforeseen closure. During this time, the classes/workshops schedule and all business transactions will be ‘paused’, and will resume once restrictions have been lifted and/or it is safe to do so. All closures due to Covid are considered ‘paused temporarily’, not ‘cancelled’. Once Canvas Method is reopened, classes/workshops and all business transactions will resume as per normal. As we approach this time, we will send you information on how to transition back into your class/workshop, or you will have credit to access any other class/workshop of your choice.
Cancellation by Instructor▹
If a class/workshop is permanently cancelled by the instructor, students may choose to either use the payment as credit for a future class/workshop, or receive a full refund.
Schedule Changes ▹
Canvas Method reserves the right to change its schedule, modify a class/workshop, or substitute instructors at any time. We will let you know of any changes.

Can I get a refund? ▹
classes + workshops: Refunds are not available unless a class/workshop is cancelled by the instructor. In this case, you may choose to either receive credit towards a future class/workshop (of your choice), or to receive a full refund.
Studio Conduct ▹
We reserve the right to remove or ban students from the studio, if they are not behaving appropriately, or are seen as harmful to the students or the learning environement.

Publicity Waiver ▹
Canvas Method considers photographs of the students and their artwork as property of the school and permissible for publication in school publications and promotions, including the web.
